Expected completion in 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>CMC<\/strong> is investing 250 million USD in an AI DC in Ho Chi Minh City, with an initial capacity of 30MW IT load, expandable to 120MW. Construction is expected to start in 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>G42 \u2013 FPT \u2013 VinaCapital Alliance<\/strong> proposed a 2 billion USD super DC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But designing a DC for AI is <strong>far different<\/strong> from a traditional DC. This is a problem of <strong>strategic bets under unprecedented conditions<\/strong>, with many challenges:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Extremely high loads &amp; unprecedented<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AI requires 30\u201360kW racks, complex cooling, and an unclear equipment lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Power supply &amp; sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AI DCs consume 2\u20135 times more power than usual. It requires ensuring a stable power supply + green solutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Legal frameworks have not kept pace with development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ho Chi Minh City has proposed a special mechanism for cross-border data storage \u2013 but is still awaiting specific policies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Shortage of human resources &amp; supply chain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AI DC operation engineers are very scarce.
