Accordingly, the Digital Hub Data Center project has a total investment of up to VND 35 trillion, built according to global data center design standards. It is expected that this center will be built in Chau Duc District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province.
Built on an area of 100 hectares, the Digital Hub is expected to include 5 data center halls. The total capacity of each Data Center Hall is 20MW. The total capacity of all 5 DC Halls reaches up to 6,000 equipment cabinets (racks) with an average capacity of 15kW/rack.
Besides safety and security standards, the data center is also built with disaster prevention, resistance, and recovery systems to protect and restore data operations in emergency situations, ensuring continuity and stability under all conditions.
Digital Hub is considered a key project and a significant step forward in the development of information technology in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province in particular and Vietnam in general.
Parallel to the implementation of the Digital Hub project, the submarine fiber optic cable landing project will also be built, with the primary task of serving the data transmission and storage of the Digital Hub Center.
The project is expected to play a crucial link in the digital infrastructure and data transmission infrastructure of the region and internationally, ensuring safety, network redundancy, quality of Internet services, and other international connectivity services, as well as national information security.
It is expected that once put into operation, these projects will not only serve the specific needs of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, creating a “boost” for the local economy, but also contribute to helping Vietnam rise strongly in the field of information technology.
